The range of cybersecurity challenges facing the Army, businesses and the general public were discussed on Tuesday evening [1 November] at one of our popular Influencers Network events, kindly hosted by Schroders Personal Wealth and attended by an audience that included cyber specialists from a range of industries.
We were delighted to have as our special guest speaker, Charlotte Luks, Head of Cyber and Security for Army HQ, in conversation with Major General Tim Hyams, our Chief Executive.
The event included a fascinating discussion of the challenges shared by the public and private sectors and the Army’s approach to these challenges, as well as touching on the opportunities for collaboration and how businesses can create an environment which supports reservists and service leavers. A key theme was the values and skills derived from service in the Army by both the generalists and specialists; and how those skills contributed to society in a wider sense over time, reinforced by the employment and training support provided by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
