At the start of 2018, the British Armed decided to launch its own network to provide support to all service personnel from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background.

The network provides an open environment where service personnel can listen to inspiring speakers, providing them with BAME role models. It aims to inform, inspire and empower personnel and civilian employees, ensuring that ethnic minority soldiers and civilians can achieve their full potential.

Captain Steven Henry said: “The BAME network is there to represent BAME personnel and civilians and also the chain of command that support those BAME soldiers.”
