The Advent of Change for Christmas 2018 has officially launched, and we are honoured to be a part of this charity advent calendar. Advent of Change aims to raise money on behalf of selected charities, including ourselves, across a range of important causes.

Advent of Change

This social enterprise, which was born less than nine months ago, has already caught the attention of John Lewis & Partners, who will be stocking the calendar in stores throughout the country and online from 4th October.

They have also secured a number of exciting endorsements from household names such as Sir Richard Branson, Lawrence Dallaglio OBE, Virginia Mckenna OBE and Bob Wilson OBE.

Each door reveals a different donation to one of 24 incredible charities, spread across a number of causes, including children, animals, the third world, healthcare, refugees and, of course, the Army.

Each day represents a £1 donation and describes how that gift could be used to give the recipient a ‘feel-good feeling’ and see exactly how they’ve helped.

Kristina Salceanu, Founder of Advent of Change, said: “Advent of Change began with one simple idea: to give the gift of giving at Christmas. And that small idea has already taken on a life of its own. Here at Advent of Change we have captured the imagination of so many people already, and we really do believe that this simple concept has the power to change the world.”

She continued: “It was really important to me to ensure we included charities that would be personally meaningful to everybody, which is why we’ve worked hard to include organisations across a wide range of sectors. The response so far has been staggering and I can’t wait for the funds raised to start changing the lives of those who need it most. We are extremely proud to be representing these incredible charities.”

Advent of Change retails at £27.95, and can be purchased from the Advent of Change website (www.adventofchange.com) and in John Lewis & Partners shops and johnlewis.com from 4th October 2018. 85% of the sale price will go directly to charity.

The advent calendar has also been designed with the environment in mind, using FSC-certified paper, vegetable oil-based inks and biodegradable glues, and comes wrapped in a biodegradable potato starch film.
