To commemorate 100 years since the signing in 1918 of the Armistice bringing to an end the First World War, the East Anglia region of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity will be holding an Armistice Centenary Dinner on Saturday 24th November 2018 at The Colchester Officers’ Club. The event is also being held to raise funds to support serving soldiers, veterans and their dependants in times of need.
The evening begins at 1900hrs where guests will gather for a welcome drink. This is followed by dinner being served at 2000hrs. During the evening, music will be provided by a quintet of The Band of The Parachute Regiment and a prize draw will be held.
The well-known Colchester historian, Mr Andrew Philips, has very kindly agreed to give a brief after-dinner talk on the important role played by Colchester during the war.
Tickets will be £55.00 per person. If you would like to book a table for yourself and friends, tables will accommodate up to ten guests. Please contact the East Anglia Regional Office on: 01206 817105 or firstname.lastname@example.org
