Join us for a Ladies Clay Shoot Day at Millride Country Sports.

On Wednesday 17 August, you can try out your shooting skills in our Ladies Clay Shoot Day! The event will run from 09:00 to 16:00 and all funds raised will be in support of the Army family. Tickets are £100pp and include  breakfast, Champagne lunch, raffle, afternoon tea, prizes and a goody bag.

After bacon sandwiches and a hot drink, participants will be grouped according to level of ability and a mentor will be assigned to each group.

A safety briefing will be held followed by a plan of how the day will flow.

Your mentor will remain with you for the duration of the day to offer you advice and guidance. Groups will rotate between stands – 25 skeet shots pp, 25 compak shots pp, 25 sporting shots pp. A short talk will be given by BASC staff about sustainable ammunition and show you how to check that your guns are proofed for steel shot.

Elevenses will be taken in the field and a Champagne lunch will be provided, before a 100-bird team flush in the afternoon. The day will conclude with a raffle, afternoon tea and prizes for both novices and experienced shots.

There will be a BASC/Millride/ABF goody bag for all participants.

Beginners and Novices:  Shotguns and cartridges will be provided for your use if required. Fewer cartridges may be shot than stated earlier but there is no extra charge for gun hire/cartridges.  (There will be a cap on cartridge use for Novices and should this be exceeded there is provision for shooters to purchase extra cartridges as required on the day.)

Experienced Shots/Gun Owners: Bring your own Shotgun, Shotgun certificate, Ear defenders, eye protection, cartridges (200 minimum) and enjoy dressing up for the occasion.
