Mayor of Colchester’s Charities Curry & Quiz Night 2023

ABF The Soldiers’ Charity are delighted to be one of Councillor John Jowers, Mayor of Colchester’s Charities in 2023/2024. His Charities include Beacon House, Community 360, Lepra and Freedom Boat Adventures. Join the Mayor and his Charities for a Curry & Quiz Night at Colchester Officers’ Club on Thursday 12th October 2023. An evening of food, fun and quizzing with a series of brainteasing questions to test your general knowledge it’s an evening not to be missed! You’ve got to be in it to win it!

Date: Thursday 12th October 2023

Location: Colchester Officers’ Club, Londinium Road, Colchester, Essex, CO2 7NU

Times: Arrival at 6.30pm with the quiz set to start at 7.00pm

Format:

  • Round one
  • Half time: One-course meal
  • Round two
  • Prize giving and raffle

Tickets:

Tickets for the Quiz Night are £120 for a team of 6 persons max. (£20pp) and includes a one-course meal. If you would would like to join us but don’t have 6 team members, get in touch at: eastanglia@soldierscharity.org and we can add you to a list to ‘make up’ teams.

Payment can be made in cash (in advance), by cheque payable to: ‘ABF The Soldiers’ Charity’ or BACS – Details to be provided by the office.

Dietary Requirements:

A buffet style curry will be provided with a vegetarian curry. However, an alternative of jacket potato can be provided for those who aren’t keen on curry. Please let us know in advance: eastanglia@soldierscharity.org with your choice of filling. Please also let us know if there are any other specific dietary requirements i.e. Gluten Free.

All funds raised from events will be put into the Mayor’s Charities ‘pot’ and split between the charities at the end of the Mayoral term in 2024.
