ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is once again holding its annual Michaelmas Fair at Powderham Castle. This wonderful stately home belonging to the Earl and Countess of Devon provides a magnificent setting for the wide array of stalls selling gifts and stocking fillers from jewellery to chocolate pizzas! This is a chance to do some early Christmas shopping whilst enjoying the inside of the Castle. The whole of the ground floor of the castle, including the fantastic music room, will be housing stalls selling jewellery, accessories, Christmas cards and decorations, books, Christmas puddings and cakes, and a wide range of gifts. If you would like to take a break from your shopping, you could maybe visit some of Powderham’s other attractions including the Country Store and The General Trading Company. The Orangery Restaurant will be open all day serving lunches and if you just want a quick snack, the Courtenay Café is just across the courtyard.
Maybe you have cleared out your attic or your garage recently and unearthed something you want to know the value of; our sponsors Bearnes Hampton and Littlewood will be on hand to give you free verbal valuations on your jewellery, watches, militaria and silver.
All proceeds from the Fair will support ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Army’s National Charity since 1944. We are here to help serving soldiers, veterans and their families in times of need.
The Fair will be held on Thursday 8th November from 10am-3pm. Tickets cost £3 in advance from Exeter Visitor Information and Tickets on 01392 665885 or ABF The Soldiers’ Charity on 01392 496412, or £5 on the day. Parking is free.
