Saddle up for the inaugural Ride Round The Isles cycle challenge, sponsored by Peninsula, with Corporal Andy Reid MBE!

A challenging four-day, 450 mile high-adrenaline bike ride, powering through Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England. With nearly 8,000 meters of climbs, this is definitely not a challenge for the faint hearted.

Cycle the whole route or sign up for an individual stage (e.g. England, Wales, NI or Scotland) or your choice of legs. Tag teams are also welcome to take part. So, are you up for the challenge?

Join Andy Reid on this personal challenge raising funds for The Soldiers Charity. In October 2009, Andy was blown up by a Taliban improvised explosive device while on patrol with  3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Injured so badly that it was thought he would not survive, he defied the odds to the extent that within two weeks he was able to make his first trip home from hospital and within a month meet up with members of his patrol again. What Andy has achieved since then is little short of unbelievable. This bike ride is the latest of Andy’s catalogue of personal challenges, demonstrating his iron will to continuously challenge himself against the odds.

“ABF The Soldiers’ Charity was there for me and my family when we needed it most. Taking on events like Ride Round The Isles is my way of saying thank you and giving something back. Join me in supporting the Army’s national charity so it can go on helping soldiers, veterans and their families for life.”
