Shrewsbury Half Marathon

10th October 2021

The Shrewsbury Half Marathon returns on Sunday 10th October 2021.  This closed road route takes in a mix of beautiful Shropshire countryside and country lanes, historic streets with medieval buildings, welcoming crowds and an amazing sense of community.

The race welcomes many runners of all abilities, from across the UK and abroad, to Shropshire every year.

Run along the river in the beautiful Quarry Park, and through the historic town centre before heading out over the English bridge. After you ‘conquer the Wyle Cop’, run the second half of the race in the Shropshire countryside, before finishing back in the showground where you will collect your medal, tech t-shirt and treat bag.

To secure your free entry and pledge to raise £100 for our worthwhile cause, please complete the registration form. Upon receipt, you will receive your unique registration code to enable you to sign up for free.

Terms and Conditions(Required)
To abide by any terms and conditions set for the Shrewsbury Half Marathon relating to health, safety and medical issues. You must ensure that you are medically fit to participate. To obtain and pay all monies pledged through your efforts to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. If you are unable to obtain the minimum target amount of sponsorship you are liable to forfeit your place in the Shrewsbury Half Marathon – or you may choose to make up the balance yourself. In return for a guaranteed ABF The Soldiers’ Charity place in the Shrewsbury Half Marathon you must commit to raising a minimum amount (not including Gift Aid) of £100.00 sponsorship, hopefully more. The full sponsorship must be paid to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity by 8 November 2020. Failure to do so means that you must make up the balance yourself and you will be invoiced for the outstanding amount. To tell sponsors that the money raised benefits ABF The Soldiers’ Charity (a registered charity in England and Wales 1146420; SCO39189 in Scotland). That donations already made and processed by the Charity will not be refundable if you do not participate in or complete the event. Should your sponsors not wish their donation to go to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity in the event of your non-participation, they should apply to have the donation refunded by contacting ABF The Soldiers’ Charity Regional Office at the address above. Any monies held by you should, in the event of non-participation, be returned to the sponsors unless they agree to still donate it to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. To ask sponsors to send their monies directly to you, not ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. To inform ABF The Soldiers’ Charity of any additional public event you are organising in order to raise the required sponsorship. To keep the names of your sponsors (we may ask for their details for Gift Aid purposes). An official Gift Aid-compliant sponsor form will be included in your fundraising pack. Not to reproduce the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity logo without permission or bring ABF The Soldiers’ Charity’s name into disrepute. You agree to raise all money using legal methods and complying with the advice given in the fundraising pack. You agree to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity storing the information that you provided on their database. Please see our Privacy Policy for details and complete your communications preferences on the reverse of the application form. You give ABF The Soldiers’ Charity permission to use any photographs/videos taken of you at this event, to raise awareness and/or money for the Charity’s work with soldiers, veterans and their families. You are responsible for your own transport to and from the event. Please ensure that you have completed the personal details section fully (including emergency contact details) so that we can process your application swiftly. We will provide you with log in detais to enable you to register for a free place. As we rely on the income from sponsorship to support the Charity’s work, if you do not raise the minimum target of £100.00, you may be asked to pay the balance yourself. In selecting YES below, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions set out above.
