To commemorate 75 years since the end of the war in Europe, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity’s East Anglia Regional Office will be holding a VE Day Dinner on Saturday 09th May 2020 at The Colchester Officers’ Club. The event is also being held to raise funds to support serving soldiers, veterans and their dependants in times of need.
With the announcement that the war was over in Europe on 08th May 1945, people took to the streets to celebrate the outbreak of peace and mourn those who sacrificed their lives. This day became known as Victory in Europe Day (VE Day), although the war continued on until Japan surrendered on 15th August 1945 finally bringing to an end to the Second World War. 75 years on we will be marking this momentous event in history.

We will gather for a welcome drink from 1900hrs with dinner being served at 2000hrs.

Dress for the evening will be: lounge suits or equivalent (not black tie).
Tickets will be £55.00 per person. Tables can accommodate up to ten guests.
