We are delighted to award a £46,952 grant to The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation (Stoll), towards its support for vulnerable veterans.

Helping vulnerable veterans to live independently and avoid financial hardship and homelessness is a priority area for our charity. Stoll provides a range of housing and other services to vulnerable and disabled veterans at its various housing schemes and sites in West London and Aldershot. The current cost of living crisis is affecting veterans and means that there remains a high demand for Stoll’s services.

Our donation will go towards the costs of the charity’s Community Support Officers and a Veteran Support worker for 12 months. The team will provide counselling to around 270 veterans and their dependents about debt, substance abuse, health and wellbeing issues.

Richard Gammage, Chief Executive at Stoll, said:

We thank ABF The Soldiers’ Charity for its continued support of Stoll veterans. This funding supports our work with vulnerable veterans, helping them to live independently in the community and to improve their lives.

Brigadier (Ret’d) Peter Monteith, Chief Operating Officer ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, added:

We are longstanding supporters of Stoll’s wide-ranging work for homeless and vulnerable veterans, a priority area for our charity. We were very pleased to support the team again this year to help them deliver the kind of close personal support that we know is much appreciated by the Army veteran community.
