The Army Benevolent Fund is the National Charity of the British Army. With help from the public, we support each and every soldier, veteran, and their immediate family who need our help, either by supporting individuals directly or through our partner delivery charities.

The Army Benevolent Fund is recruiting an Events Assistant, responsible for the day-to-day running of our London Regional Office, located in London. The role encompasses: providing administrative, database management and accounting support to the Senior Events Manager; whilst also supporting regional fundraising, developing our volunteer fundraising, and assisting with the delivery of fundraising events.

It is essential that the successful candidate has strong administrative skills and is able to be flexible with working patterns, there may be some out of hours working, particularly when events are being held. We are seeking a candidate with well-developed communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills, whilst also being literate and numerate to a high standard.

The starting salary is £16,000 (£27,000 FTE) per annum with 30 days (pro-rata for part-time roles) annual leave running from April to March. After a probationary period of 6 months the successful candidate will benefit from the Charity’s full range of employment benefits including an income protection scheme and an employer contribution pension. There will also be opportunities to participate in key Charity events and activities with a TOIL scheme in place.

This is a part-time post for 21 hours per week and will be based at the Charity’s London Regional Office in London, the Charity currently operates under a Flexible and Hybrid Working Policy.
