ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is the National Charity of the British Army. The Soldiers’ Charity began in 1944 as the Army Benevolent Fund and rebranded in 2010 to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. With help from the public, we support soldiers, former soldiers and their immediate family who need our help, either by supporting individuals directly or through our partner delivery charities.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving and Philanthropy, you will coordinate and be responsible for delivering the Individual Giving programme using Direct Marketing techniques across a range of channels, maintaining a consistency of tone and message across all communications. To meet an agreed level of income from cash appeals, regular giving and online you will need to be enthusiastic, hard-working, and committed to hitting deadlines.
You will project manage a portfolio of Direct Marketing campaigns, including direct mail, Face to Face, gaming products, digital and social media activity, press inserts and advertising, managing agency relationships, expenditure and income tracking and delivery, reporting across a range of KPI’s, briefing suppliers, overseeing regular data selections, exports and imports, copywriting and managing the creative processes.
You will also line manage Individual Giving & Supporter Care Assistant and to provide cover for all elements of their work including handling queries from supporters by phone, email and post, financial processing and updating Raisers Edge database.
This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week, based at our National Office, Victoria, London. The starting salary is competitive with annual leave starting at 26 days (30 days from April 2023) and competitive benefits after a probation period of 6 months.
