On Wednesday 26 October, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity was delighted to hold its annual Autumn Lecture at the National Army Museum. We were honoured to have, as our principal guest speaker, General David Petraeus, former Director of the CIA (2011-12) and Commander of NATO and US Forces Afghanistan (2010-11).

In his conversation with event host Brigadier James Ellery, General Petraeus talked about his long and impressive career in the US military and shared his expert insights into current world events, including the conflict in Ukraine.

We were also honoured that the Chief of General Staff, General Sir Patrick Sanders, attended our lecture, as well as the Duke of Wellington and Lieutenant General John Kiszely, who introduced General Petraeus.

The event was organised by Gerri Hogarth from ABF The Soldiers’ Charity’s London regional office. Around 150 attended the sold-out event, with ticket sales going towards our charity’s work supporting soldiers, veterans and Army families.

We would like to thank the staff of the National Army Museum for their help in organising such a highly enjoyable and informative evening for our supporters.
