Charity Golf Day – Lexden Wood Golf Club
Friday 28th April 2023
Join us for a Charity Golf Day at Lexden Wood Golf Club to raise funds and awareness whilst playing a great game of golf with friends. Lexden Wood Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course in the heart of the countryside which boasts spectacular views and USGA specification greens. The day will begin with bacon rolls and tea/coffee to prepare you for the round of golf ahead. The day will conclude with a delicious one-course lunch, prize giving and raffle.
The Charity Golf Day includes:
- Goody bag
- Bacon roll with tea/coffee
- 25 balls to use on the Driving Range
- Delicious one-course lunch
- Raffle – With some great prizes donated by local businesses
- Prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Teams. Plus, Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive
- Additional: Extra (on the day) competition TBC.

Registration:
Teams are 4 persons max. The price per team for non- Lexden Wood members is £240. Teams with Lexden Wood members should contact: 01206 817105 or eastanglia@soldierscharity.org with the member name(s) before signing up their team, as club members will be given a discount code dependent on the number of club members in the team.

Dietary Requirements:

Competitions:
On the day: Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and an extra competition (on the day) to be announced.
Timings (approx.):
08:00am – 0900am
- Arrival of players and registration
- Coffee and tea station, bacon roll
- Time available for those who wish to use their 25 balls for the driving range.
09:00am
A brief description of the day and the format of the Golf (including tee off information) will be announced.
09:10am onwards
Players move to their designated holes they are due to start on (shotgun start). Due to some of the holes being a distance away from the golf club, time will be allowed for players to reach their starting hole. Shotgun or tee time start TBC.
14:00 – 14:30pm
- Players will begin returning to the clubhouse.
- Time for players to change and grab a drink at the bar followed by a one-course meal.
- Presentation and Raffle
16:00pm
Event closes approx.

Buggies:
There are 12 buggies available for use on a first come first serve basis. They are 2 person buggies with two bag spaces on the back. Buggies need to be booked via Lexden Wood Golf Club (01206 843333) in advance. Hirers will need to sign a buggy form and pay on the day.
Dress Code: Normal golf attire on course with smart casual for lunch.

About the Club:
Lexden Wood Golf Club has an 18-hole course with greens that are USPGA specification which provide a great consistency in all weather conditions. The large teeing areas enable the club to provide all year play without the need for winter mats.
