Join us for Images on Parade 2021

In 2017 and 2018, our charity staged two exhibitions and sales of photography: Images on Parade and Veterans’ Images on Parade. Each occasion raised around £5,000.

Later this year, we will once again be staging another exhibition and sale to raise funds for the Army family. Called Images On Parade 2021 (IOP 2021) and comprising 200 selected images taken during 2019-2021, this virtual exhibition it will be displayed in the Images on Parade 2021 Online Gallery during the three-month period 1st October– 31st December 2021.

How to Take Part

Images must be in either landscape or portrait format, and in either colour or monochrome. They must be TIFF files sized 39.0 cm x 29.0 cm with resolution set at 300 dpi. Images not meeting this specification will not be accepted. Postal entries will also not be accepted. Photographer Entry Details

Later this year, following the success of previous events, we will once again be staging another exhibition and sale to raise funds for the Army family. Called Images On Parade 2021 (IOP 2021) and comprising 200 selected images taken during 2019-2021, it will be displayed at the Images On Parade 2021 Online Gallery during the three-month period 1st October– 31st December 2021.

IOP 2021 will cover a broad range of genres including the following: military, aviation/aerospace, drone/aerial, macro, sport/action, adventure, documentary, wildlife, nature, landscape, seascape, underwater, cityscape, street, still life, composite, creative, double exposure, infra-red, portrait, night, architecture, abstract, minimalist, astrophotography, boudoir, concert, event, fine art and lifestyle.

The exhibition will be open to professional and amateur photographers in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, including members of the British Armed Forces serving overseas and former members who are living overseas.

Submissions for IOP 2021 will be electronic, in the form of TIF files, and thus at no cost to participating photographers. The maximum number of submissions per photographer will be limited to six.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 30th July 2021.

Each image sold will be printed, using the Giclée method, on fine art grade photographic paper, mounted on card and sealed in a cello bag for protection. Each 39 x 29 cm print will feature on the rear of its mount the image’s caption together with the photographer’s details and their copyright information. In addition, a brief bio will form part of each participating photographer’s entry in the IOP 2021 on-line catalogue.

Photographer Terms and Conditions

  1. All information detailing how to participate in the Images On Parade 2021 exhibition (IOP 2021) forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of participation that these are accepted as final and that participating photographers agree to abide by them. The decisions of the panel selecting the images to form the exhibition is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of images will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. IoP 2021 is open to all professional and amateur photographers in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, including members of the British Armed Forces serving overseas and former members who are living overseas.
  3. Entrants taking part will be required to complete an entry form providing their details giving the following details: the entrant’s name, address, email address, website address (if applicable) and telephone number together with the title/caption of each image. In addition, the form will require signed confirmation that: all images submitted by them are their own work; that sole copyright is theirs alone; and giving formal permission for their images to be printed and sold to raise funds for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
  4. The exhibition will comprise images of a broad range of genres, including the following: military, aviation and aerospace, drone/aerial, macro, sport/action adventure, wildlife, nature, landscape, seascape, cityscape, underwater, street, still life, composite, creative, double exposure, infra-red, portrait, night, architecture, abstract, minimalist, astrophotography, boudoir, concert, documentary, event, fine art, and lifestyle.

Note: Copyright of all military images submitted for IOP 21 must be the property of the entrant(s) and NOT of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence. Images with Ministry of Defence copyright will not be accepted for entry in IOP 21.

  2. The maximum number of images per entrant submitted for IOP 2021 will be limited to six. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them. It will be the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any portrait images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject(s) and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.
  3. The deadline for submission of images is Friday 30th July 2021. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupted entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
  4. Each image sold will be printed, using the Giclée method, on fine art grade photographic paper, mounted on card and sealed in a cello bag for protection. Each print will feature on the rear of its mount the image’s caption, photographer’s details and his/her copyright information.
  5. Copyright of all images submitted for IOP 2021 will remain with the respective entrants. However, in addition to their providing them for the exhibition and for sale, each entrant will be required to grant for the duration of IOP 2021 a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of its publications, its website and/or in any promotional material connected to IOP 2021.
  6. Entrants may be required to take part in publicity and provide PR quotes for regional media contacts.
  7. During the week commencing 1 January 2022, following the closing of IOP 2021, all electronic images will be deleted to avoid unauthorized use.
  8. English law applies to IOP 2021 and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
