British Army Regional Command, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, have partnered up with Kooth, a digital mental health platform that has been serving the NHS for over 20 years. Kooth provides anonymous, professional and varied counselling and support services, and is the only digital platform accredited by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Children and young people with a parent serving in the Armed Forces often move homes, live overseas, change schools and lose contact with friends. Being part of an Armed Forces family can also mean long periods of separation from the serving parent when they are deployed or training.

Designed to provide mental health and well-being support for Armed Forces children and young people aged 11 to 19, Kooth’s new website can act as the first step in assuring children and young people of serving parents receive the earliest intervention for their concerns and have clear pathways for any additional face to face support and safeguarding.
